Monica Barbaro (born June 17, 1990) is an American actor. She began her career as a ballet dancer, finally giving it up to pursue acting. She is best-known for depicting the character of Yael on the second season of the uncritically acclaimed life television series Unreal. Yael was besides best-known as "Hot Rachel," a nemesis to the character depicted by Shiri Appleby. Following her work on Unreal, she joined the cast as a lead of the new NBC legal drama Chicago Justice which joins gumshoe Wolf's Chicago franchise. Barbaro portrays Pakistani monetary unit Valdez, a enlightened, whip-smart, quick-tongued and sharp-witted Assistant State’s lawyer. She had her first lead role in the microorganism short film It's not about the Nail.
